ARCP

ARCP is short for Asbestos Removal Control Plan and all asbestos removers must prepare one of these for any licensed asbestos removal work.

A copy must be given to the PCBU and be available for workers and homeowners while removal is in progress. An ARCP must also be kept and available for 2 years after the work is done.

An ARCP must include:

  • How the work will be carried out and when,

  • PPE, machines and equipment used during the project,

  • Details of the asbestos being removed (eg, how much, the type and location)

  • A plan showing removal area, air monitoring points, and locations of signs, negative air unit, and decontamination unit.

  • Details on the waste (transportation and disposed site)

  • Who will be involved in the removal (supervisors & removal staff)
